WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL HEALING?
Nutritional healing is a way of utilizing foods and whole-food supplements to encourage the body’s own natural healing. This is accomplished by:
- Assisting the body’s pathways of detoxification
- Correcting deficiencies
- Restoring healthy digestion
- Ensuring optimal blood sugar regulation
- Identifying and alleviating stress blockers
These goals are achieved through a complete, holistic evaluation that may include blood chemistries, hormone testing, hair and mineral analysis, functional evaluations, dietary review, and a thorough history. This gives an in-depth understanding of your biochemistry and current health status.
Recommendations may include the addition of certain foods or avoidance of foods that may be aggravating your condition. Whole food supplements may be suggested to encourage your body to rebalance and heal itself.

HOW IS NUTRITIONAL HEALING DIFFERENT THAN A DIETICIAN?
Nutritional healing seeks to optimize health through balancing the diet
with whole foods and using supplements to restore function. A dietician works on recommended daily allowance of nutrients, which are set by the USDA and are minimally established to avoid diseases.
My focus is to help identify where support is needed and assist your body in it’s own natural healing. I look at the whole person. A dietician typically focuses on specific nutrients.
HOW CAN YOU BENEFIT FROM WORKING WITH A NEW LEAF?
Nutritional healing can help everyone, from children to mature adults, who seek to optimize their health. Issues like fatigue, weight gain, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, etc. can all be helped with nutrition.
